This disclaimer applies to bestscaffoldings.com, operated by Best Scaffolding, doing business as Best Sidewalk Shed & Scaffolding.
The content on this website is for general information. It describes our services and summarizes some of the New York City rules that apply to scaffolding, sidewalk sheds, construction fencing, permits, inspections, and violations. It is not legal, engineering, or professional advice, and it does not replace advice about your specific building or situation.
NYC building, sidewalk shed, and scaffold requirements are updated regularly. Several changes were announced in 2026. We cite official sources where we can and try to keep our pages current, but a summary on this site may not reflect the latest rule, interpretation, or procedure. Always confirm current requirements with the NYC Department of Buildings, the NYC Department of Transportation, or another relevant agency, or with a licensed professional, before acting.
Permits, inspections, and violation dismissals are decided by government agencies, not by us. We do not guarantee that any permit will be approved, any violation will be dismissed, or any agency will act within a particular time.
Our 24/7 emergency response and average two-hour arrival time describe our typical performance across New York City. They are not a guarantee for any individual call. Arrival depends on location, traffic, weather, site safety, and demand.
Any cost information on this site, and any estimate we give before a site visit, is approximate. Prices are confirmed only in a written quote or agreement.
Project examples on this site describe work we performed at the addresses shown, in the role stated. Building details we mention, such as a building’s height or age, come from public sources, which we cite. Photos show our own work unless labeled otherwise.
Licenses, certifications, and insurance described on this site were current when the page was last updated. You are welcome to ask us for current license details or a certificate of insurance before hiring us.
We link to government and third-party websites for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
